Earthquake Relief
On 16 April 2016 a 7,8 magnitude earthquake destroyed about 7000 buildings in the Central Coast of Ecuador, 300 of them at San Agustín village and surroundings. Heads of households received a home water treatment system after training on its use and maintenance.
Local Partnerships
This project was quickly implemented thanks to the joined efforts between the Social Enterprise Sustainable World, the missionary Sisters of God Providence in San Agustín, Paz y Esperanza, EkoRural and many volunteers.
Joined Effort
300 families of San Agustín received water filters donated or subsidized by Paz y Esperanza Foundation (70 water filters), Ekorural Foundation (84 water filters) and 146 water filters subsidized by Fluid Foundation and individuals.
